The Southern California Genealogical Society (SCGS) sponsors an African American Interest Group. We meet on the second Saturday of most months following the free SCGS monthly Lunch and Learn Education program. Visit the SCGS website www.scgsgenealogy.com for the lecture topics.

The African American Interest Group time is usually between 3:30p.m.- 6:00p.m. but not during COVID-19 restrictions.


The meeting is on the second Saturday of most months on the dates as follows, however the times may change:

Come join Adrian and Charlotte from 3:10 P.M. to 4:30P.M. after the July 11 Lunch and Learn with Jean Wilcox Hibben. Jean will talk about “Doing Family History to Heal Family Present on Behalf of Family Past” and “On the Contrary, Dead Men (and Women) DO Tell Tales!” After Jean’s presentation we can discuss your problems with your research.
