Join Today and Discover the
Many Benefits
of Membership

Your SCGS membership is the gateway to discovering more about your ancestors in Southern California, the United States, and many other countries. Join a community that shares your interests and passions and will provide research, education, and discussion opportunities. Collaborate, consult, and explore with others who understand the importance of learning about our family histories.

But, My Ancestors Aren't From Southern California

SCGS membership allows you to network with other Southern California family history enthusiasts, researchers, and genealogists. You don't have to have ancestors in Southern California to join! Many of our members have no ancestral ties to the region but join because they live in Southern California and want to learn more about genealogy research and methods. Several of us are first-generation Californians or transplants!

Build a sense of community with others who share a passion for family history and genealogy. SCGS resources are available no matter where you reside.
