SCGS's September presenter, Leslie Carney, is a professional genealogist specializing in the Southwestern United States, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Native American Indian, and Sonora, Mexico. She has over 30 years of experience researching various repositories and archives as she documents family history. As a lecturer, Leslie enjoys sharing her passion by educating others in understanding social history and genealogical issues while promoting an interest in genealogy. Leslie holds a certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University (OL 18) and is an alumnus of the National Genealogical Society's ProGen Study Group (ProGen 29). Leslie is a longtime Pima County Genealogical Society member.
